Kelly Maher Newsletter-Engaging Erotic Fiction

NEWS

Why is it that everything slows down in summer? Life's ticking along for me, and I'm enjoying Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris as a signing evil genius! Squee!) on the net this week. I got a Wii for my birthday and look forward to getting a Wii Fit soon. As writing is going a bit slow - some things are just not ready to come out of the marinade of my mind - I'm gorging myself on books. Check out the Recommended Reads section for two recent winners to come out of my TBR mountain. Which got even bigger thanks to the recent American Library Association conference. I'm sad that I'll miss the Romance Writers of America conference later this month, but if you're traveling there, have a safe trip and a fabulous time!

Engagingly yours,
Kelly

Bound to Love is a story of lost love. It is written in such a way you feel it tug your heartstrings. Ms. Maher has woven a tale of history and present meeting in a sensual pattern that makes you smile as you read. It is an excellent story.

4 Angels from Fallen Angel Reviews

The Man From HATHOR is an intriguing tale, well written and lively. I especially enjoyed experiencing the different locations. Everything was described so vividly I had no trouble recognizing ancient Egypt and the ceremony was also filled with many scintillating details.

Cimmerean League: Revelations coverIn a world where the good guys work in the shadows, Vie fights the attraction she feels for her compatriot, Bolt. Bolt's done waiting and is ready to claim his woman. Only, an enemy from the past isn't ready to die.

3 Stars from Romantic Times

Maher has created a fascinating world of gods, creatures of the night and mortals with psychic powers. Fast paced with explicit sex scenes, this story draws one in quickly and ends much too soon.

Cimmerean League: Revelations is now available from Amber Heat alone and as part of The Lusty League Amber Pax.

Family Jewels cover Amalia Winston is worth every penny she charges for her services. Money is no object to Sasha Feodrovich. When they get together, more than his family's jewels are at stake!

READING RECS

This month's books are nummy, nummy, nummy!

Midnight Never Come by Marie Brennan - A historical urban fantasy set during the time of the reign of Elizabeth I, this fantastic story follows Lune, a fae in the court of Queen Invidiana, Queen Elizabeth I's darker half. Michael Deven is a courtier of Elizabeth's, and in the service of Walsingham, the Queen's spymaster. These two courtiers of different worlds are thrown together, only to uncover a secret that may destroy both their worlds. A fabulous read for anyone who likes tales of court intrigue, the fae and a bit of romance thrown in for spice.

Death Angel by Linda Howard - To me, Linda Howard is the original Queen of Steam and she doesn't disappoint in this fantastic tale of two people searching, if not for redemption, peace with themselves. Definitely one of Linda's darker books with an anti-hero to die for, and an anti-heroine who refuses to.
